Adjusting the height of the towbar is a typical problem on vans, off-road vehicles and vehicles with modified suspensions. The H-REG4983 adapter plate makes it easy to adjust the height of the towbar.

Too high? Too low? - No problem!

A towbar that is too high or too low is a nightmare not only for drivers of off-road vehicles with modified suspensions, but also for vans.

According to European standards, the centre of the towbar should be between 350 and 420mm from the ground. If it is outside this range, it can cause several problems, such as

Damage to the towbar
Damage to the trailer suspension
Tipping of the trailer and many others.

Our height adjustment adapters can only be used on hook designs with flanged balls, i.e. screwed face on to the beam, generally with two M16 screws spaced 90 mm apart or with four M10 or M12 screws spaced 83×56 mm apart.

The D-REG9083 adapter combines the functions of three products:

Towing hitch ball height adjustment plate for a ball mounted with two M16 screws
A towbar spacer plate that moves the tow bar ball 125mm away from its original position
Ball head adapter, which will allow you to change a tow ball mounted with four M10 or M12 screws at a spacing of 83 x 56 to a ball mounted with two M16 screws at a spacing of 90 mm and vice versa.

Approved adapter for towbars with flange ball

The adapter has European approval for use on the roads of the European Union and UN countries. It is a multifunctional device with a very wide range of applications on vehicles equipped with a towbar with a flange ball that is bolted on with two or four screws.

The adapter is available in three different lengths: 75 mm, 100 mm and 125 mm. The item is protected with an anti-corrosion primer and powder coated.
