This adapter is designed for vehicles with a square mounting socket at a height of 260 to 501 mm above the ground. The towbar allows the ball to be mounted at four heights: +90mm, +34mm, -22mm, -81mm (height measured from the centre of the ball to the centre of the mounting hole).

The adapter is ideal for vehicles that frequently carry goods and have air suspension. The adapter is secured to the base using the screws supplied with the kit. This ensures that the adapter will not rattle or move when towing a trailer.

This towbar adapter for US vehicles is fitted with two rows of holes to allow the towbar to be adjusted to any height. The towbar has a flange towball (bolted on). It is available in three versions:

with two-bolt flange ball (black or silver version)
with four-bolt flange ball (black)

What is the correct towbar height?

A towbar ballhead that is too high or too low is a nightmare not only for drivers of off-road vehicles with raised suspensions, but also for drivers of commercial vehicles.

According to European standards, the centre of the towball should be between 350 and 420 mm from the ground. If the centre of the towbar ball is outside this range, several problems can occur, such as

Damage to the towbar,
Damage to the ballhead of towbar
Damage to the trailer suspension

This adapter has been tested and has European ECE approval.
